Hodgson, Verla Passed away peacefully at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland on Sunday, October 9, 2016. In her 90th year, Verla Bernice Hodgson (nee Mumby), beloved wife of the late Alfred Hodgson. Loving mother of Jack Hodgson (Karen) and Carol (Ron Sleight). Loving Grandma of John (Faye), Kim (Chad), Alan (Stevie), Benjamin and Tiffany. Great grandmother of Ben and Hayden. Dear mother-in-law of Agnes Hodgson(late Alan). Dear sister of Joan (late Joe). Sister-in-law of Betty Hazley (late Les),Sue (late Ed) and Fred (late Joyce). Special friend of Jean and Joe Vernon and the late Ron Chambers. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Alan, by her sister Joyce and by two brothers Donald and Ed. Verla’s family wish to thank doctors, nurses and staff at the United Mennonite Home for their support and loving care.Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 10am until time of service on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
