Obituary of Lena Lynda Blackburn
Lynda Lena Blackburn (Korolenchuk) Lynda was reunited with her husband Bill after passing away peacefully on Sunday morning at her daughter’s home. She will be sorely missed by her daughter Kim, grandson Alexander, step-daughter Sharon, brothers Frank and John, niece and close friend Joanne, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. Lynda enjoyed a great deal of fun and travel in her youth. She was working as a bookkeeper when she met her husband Bill, and they had many happy years together until his passing in 1977. Since that time Lynda devoted herself to being a mother and enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, painting and knitting. She was always eager to try her hand at something new. To those closest to her, she was always there to listen and her words of love and encouragement will be greatly missed. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, May 11th from noon to 2pm, followed by a memorial service in the Patrick Darte chapel. A private interment at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
