Obituary of Blanche Dusek

Blanche Leande Dusek (Sauriol), St. Catharines — It is with great sadness that the family of Blanche Dusek announces her passing suddenly on Sunday August 18, 2013 at the age of 85. Devoted and loving wife of the late Vilem Dusek. Proud mother of Earl (Janice Lech), Brenda (Peter Hunt) and Paul and grandchildren Warren, Stephanie, Janelle, Nicholas, Lucas and Damian. Blanche is survived by her brothers and sisters, Maurice, Remi, Jacqueline Swain, Riel, Gae White, and Kenny. Blanche was the eldest daughter of Laurent Sauriol and May (nee Belec) of Fort-Coulonge, Quebec. Blanche was borne in Fort-Coulonge, married in Timmins and then made St. Catharines her home since 1964. Blanche loved life and was the happiest when she was around her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her die hard optimism for the Toronto Blue Jays. She will also be missed by Bear, Sasha, Sam, Finnegan, Cinnamon, Fitch, and Jinx. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel (39 Court Street, St. Catharines 905-685-6584) on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church 316 Queenston Street, St. Catharines on Friday, August 23rd at 11 a.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. Right of Committal to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (1-403 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, ON L2N 1L5)
