KALYNKA, Stephen John - Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, August

5, 2023 at the age of 95. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen of 69 years who passed away June 17,

2023. Loving father of Stephanie Ross (Clyde), Cheryl Iafrate (Al), and Valerie Lucey (William). Cherished

grandfather of Samantha Ross, Courtney Ross, Christopher Iafrate (Taylor), and Alyshia Iafrate (Chris

Wulfers). Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Kalynka, his infant brother Michael, sister Anne

and brother Peter. He will be dearly missed by his extended family members, friends and grand furry

companions. His soul has everlasting life and we now have two loving angels watching over us. Stephen

was an employee of General Motors for forty one years retiring in 1991. The family wishes to send

heartfelt gratitude to Dr. W.F. Lucey, Dr. W. Gruber, Dr. D. Heritz, Dr. V. Kuraitis, Dr. A. Nowicki, Dr. J.J.

Shoebridge, the C.C.A.C. Care Co-ordinators Karen and Amanda, the Palliative Care Outreach Team,

supportive PSW Staff with Bayshore, Care Partners, Paramed, Sandra's Home Health and special PSW

Care Anelyn, Florence, Leody and Ruby. Special heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Wayne Gruber, Sister Louise

Dillon and Father Ben Weber for their home visits, comfort and care. Thank you to Clayton Hawkins and

Bryce Giroux of Garden City Funerals for their support and guidance. As per his wishes cremation and a

private family funeral service have taken place. In honour of Stephen’s memory, donations made to the
