Griffith, Harold G.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold on November 9, 2023 at the age of 79 with his dedicated wife at his side. Harold was a loving husband and best friend for 32 wonderful years and was the beloved father of Rene (Gladis), Tim, Steve and Angie (Evan). Proud grandpa of Nheza, Sarah, Sherie Mae, Ia, Zedy, Zeriene, Eric, Nathan and Jacob. Survived by his sister Vicki (the late Mel), Harold will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Harold and Marie made their home in St. Catharines one that always welcomed family and friends with a delicious meal, a glass of wine and joyful laughter. Harold’s kind, generous and intrepid heart led him to wonderful adventures scuba diving, ham radio, riding motorcycles, and travelling around the world. After retirement, his passion for photography flourished and he and Marie escaped the Canadian winters to Florida.

Harold passed peacefully at Hospice Niagara after a five year battle with lymphoma. The family extend their sincere gratitude to all of the staff at the Stabler Centre for their incredible and loving care.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place on Saturday. November 25, 2023 at 11:30AM at Garden City Funerals & Cremations (Formerly Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel), 39 Court Street, St. Catharines.

Memorial donations made to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
