December 25, 1942 - October 28, 2024

Deanna Haynes, 81, of St Catherines, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2024, from a brief battle with cancer surrounded by her family and close friends at Hospice Niagara.

Deanna was a kind and thoughtful soul who will be missed and remembered by many of the lives she touched. She spent her childhood in Barbados and her adult years in Canada. She will be remembered as “mom, pops & grammy”. In her younger years she

was referred to as the “cool mom”, she enjoyed sunbathing, ice cream and swimming in the ocean. In the 1980s, she discovered the love of camping and spent many summers and falls at Ontario Provincial Parks. Before her brief illness, she enjoyed camping with

her family at Killbear Provincial Park. There will be stories and memories shared by everyone for many years to come. Although you will no longer physically be with us around the campfire, you will be with us in memories and forever in our hearts.

Deanna is survived by her son Mark Haynes; her grandchildren Ashley (Devon), Caitlyn (Alec), Wyatt, Warren, Weston, and Lucie; her sister Betty James (Keith); Predeceased by her brother Robert Haynes (Christine), nieces, nephews, and other extended family

and caring friends.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at Garden City Funerals & Cremations in St Catharines on November 23 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. in Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice

Niagara.
