Obituary of Sheila Marie Swart

SWART, SHEILA (nee Millen)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at the age of 83 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital. Loving wife of the late Douglas Swart (2016). Beloved mother of Brian (Jackie). Dear Grandma of Austin (Farris) and Cody (Monica). Survived by her sister Anne (Anthony) and sister in law Barbara (the late George). Predeceased by her daughter Paula, siblings Rosealine & Maureen. Fondly remembered by her niece and nephews. Specially adored by grand-dog Emma. Sheila was born in England and emigrated to Canada at the age of 12 where she grew up in St. Catharines. As an adult she moved to Fort Erie but once her husband retired, they moved back to St. Catharines. Sheila enjoyed her home and family life, and she will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held at Garden City Funerals & Cremations, located at 39 Court Street, on Tuesday March 4, 2025 from 10-11am with a service following at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment of remains follow the service at Lakeview Cemetary.
