1948 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sonia Brault on March 8, 2025 after her struggle with kidney disease. It comforts us knowing she will be reunited with her beloved mother, Nellie Kuzmich, her siblings, Olga, Helen, Peter, Nick, Mike, Alex, & in-laws, Fernandt, Laurent & Gilles. Sonia was a loving mother to Natasha (Dan) & caring wife of 50 years to René. She will be missed by her sisters on the Kuzmich side, Nancy Doricki & Dolly Alionis, & her in-laws on the Brault side, Ginette (Andre) Boissonnault, Johanne Brault & Denis Brault as well as by her many nieces, nephews, cousins on both sides of the family & her special friends.
Sonia will be fondly remembered as a kind, thoughtful, generous & meticulous woman who put others before herself. Most recently, she was loved by the many children she drove to school each day with Student Transportation of Canada. She went out of her way to cheerfully decorate her bus & spoil the kids with special treats. Prior to that, she worked for many years as an executive assistant at the Region of Niagara, TecSyn International, T.G. Bright & Co. Ltd., J.B. Enterprises & KMW Products. She completed her studies with the many friends she met at St. Catharines Collegiate & Prince of Wales Public School.
Cremation has taken place & a celebration of life will be held at Garden City Funerals on May 31st, 2025 at 11:00. Please join us.
