On June 18th, 2025, after a long fight with COPD, Cindy Bird, 60, passed away suddenly at St. Catharines General Hospital. Cindy was a beloved mother, a cherished daughter, a devoted sister, and a loyal friend. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and kindness. Her children were her greatest joy, and she gave them all of her heart. Her friends knew her as someone who always listened, always cared, and always showed up. Cindy always brought light, and her absence leaves a deep ache. She will be remembered with love and missed beyond words.

   Cindy is survived by her 3 outrageously awesome children Aavry, Koal and Syndan as well as her granddaughter Princess Keziyah. Also feeling this loss is her Mother, Viola Smith, along with her 4 siblings, her two older brothers Wayne(Jane), Todd(Sue), as well as her Baby bro Jason & her Baby sis Angie. Predeceased by her father, Wayne Bird, as well as her step Dad John Smith. 

   Cindy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: 

Kathy, Sarah (Todd), Sherri, Mariah & Alexia(Jake),

Christopher, Chadwick, and great niece and great nephews: Kristchan, Krystal, Rowan, Hayden, Izayah, Calvin, Eliza & Kingston. Also will be missed by an extraordinary amount of Family and Friends, way too many to name!

   Cindy’s funeral will be held at Garden City Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 24th from 1-2:30 PM. 

   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the GoFundMe that has been set up to cover the costs of Cindy’s funeral.
