Mes plus sincères condoléances pour le décès de Gaétane. Je ne l’ai pas beaucoup connu mais je garde un très bon souvenir de ses visites à Biencourt. Nous passions alors d’agréables moments.

Sincere condolences to the D'Amboise and Tardif families. I am one of thousands of students to whom Madame D'Amboise taught French, at first in Grade 9, in the Fall of 1978, and again later in Grade 12. She was such a remarkable teacher and I believe all students loved her. She patiently elicited results from every single student, leaving none behind, even those whom one might be tempted to believe hated taking French. To this day, whenever I use French in my daily life, I remember her affectionately, and credit her for inspiring what I learned all those years ago. What a beautiful grace that she passed on the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Blessed Virgin certainly watched over her beloved daughter for many years, and we were privileged to experience some of Our Lady's perfections embodied in Gaetane herself. It is my honour to remember her in my prayers, as I pray her soul may rest in peace. - Lino and Silvana DeGasperis (Killaloe, ON)

To the D'Amboise Family,
When I began teaching at DM in the mid '80's, I remember Gaëtane as a kind and helpful colleague . She had a big smile and a great sense of humour. Gaëtane was a lovely person who touched the minds and hearts of many at DM.

Merci Mme D’Amboise! Repose en paix.
Mes sincères condoléances,
Francine Horton (née Lanctôt)

Madame taught with love. She was never a gong booming. She made me love French though I was not very good at it and Sandii Turpin always helped me with my cahier. ❤️ Linda Waters
May songs of the angels welcome her and guide her along the way.
May the smiles of the martyrs greet her now as darkness turns into day.
Every fear will be undone and death will be no more,
As songs of the angels bring her home before the face of God.

My condolences to the family .. Madame D’Amboise was one of my absolute favourite teachers at DM in the mid-80s. "You're in Phase 4" She expected hard work from her Phase 4 students. I was just thinking about her the other day .. May God bless her soul.

To The D’Amboise Family,
Sending My Very Sincere Sympathy on the loss of your Dear Mother, Grandmother and Great~Grandmother. I knew her as Madame D’Amboise, my French Teacher at Denis Morris H.S. in the 1970’s. I have fond memories of her Welcoming Classroom. One specific memory (still with me), My Grade 12 Graduation, the Girls in their White Gowns were given 12 Long Stemmed Red Roses, to carry into the Ceremonies. Before handing me my Bouquet, Madame came across a single rose, and she so kindly tucked it into my Bouquet & Sweetly Smiled…I had 13.
May the Memories of Madame’s Long Life be a Treasured Memory for you….
Warmly, Christine (Porco Caldwell)

Sending my heartfelt condolences to all of Gaetane's family. She was a very special aunt for my family, being the only one living in the same city, as well as having four children close in age as myself and my siblings. I have the fondest memories of her always being dressed so nicely in pretty dresses. She wore these pretty dresses whether it was to go to church, to go on our family picnics, family afternoons of fishing smelt in the canal, or just being home doing housework. She was a very talented lady, who got her teaching degree, had a career, a family of four children, and yet, managed to keep her beautiful homes spic and span, had excellent culinary skills, it was always a real treat going over for Christmas dinners. I always ate too much!!! She had a great sense of humor, was always quick and witty in her responses, she made me laugh a lot. My aunt was a very devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, she loved her family immensely, it was very obvious, she lived for them. She will be missed by many, the great memories I have of her will live on forever. She was truly special!! Aurevoir matante, et bon repos!!!

My name is Katherine, I'm one of the PSW's that took care of Gaetane. It was a pleasure to get know her. Alot of the time she still acted like she was a teacher and we were her students. Telling us how to do our job. Whenever I would come into her room, she would say, here comes the boss. It was nice to see how dedicated her family was to her. She loved her family. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Hugs
