It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ron on July 19, 2025 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Beloved brother of Barbara Wiens, cousin to Dan, brother-in-law to Jan (Joe) and lifelong friend of George & Pam, Mark & Julie, and Ron. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Albert & Mary, and brothers Gord and Gary.

Ron had a passion for music including an amazing encyclopedic knowledge of albums, liner notes, concerts, and band members. Ron appreciated good food, good wine and friends. He traveled North America as a truck driver and could tell you every route number and exit to take if you were taking a road trip.

Ron always had stories of trips to concerts, going to the races, and his many adventures and misadventures that he would share to everyone’s amusement.

As per Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a reception to celebrate Ron will be held on Thursday July 24, 2025 from 6-8pm at Garden City Funerals, 39 Court St, St. Catharines. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.
