Obituary of Timothy Don Batenburg

October 7, 1967 – August 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Tim Batenburg on August 25, 2025.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Bekah (Chris) and Tabitha (Dan), and their mother, Teresa. Known as Opa to his grandchildren—Bentley, Melody, Cooper, Carter, Jeffery, Chase, and Abigail. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Ron, Joanne (Rich) and Nancy (Dave), and remembered fondly by extended family and dear friends.

Born in Grimsby, Ontario, to the late Ellen and Joost Batenburg, Tim grew up in Dunnville, where he and Teresa raised their two daughters. For 40 years, Tim devoted himself to Watertite Roofing, working under his lifelong friend, Archie. When he wasn’t on a rooftop, Tim was “gone fishin”—a pastime that brought him peace and joy. But above all, he treasured being an Opa, never missing a chance to spend time with his grandchildren.
