Obituary of Ethel Harapiak

Harapiak, Ethel Passed away peacefully at the Royal Henley Retirement Home in St. Catharines on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Ethel “Effie” Harapiak (nee Wansel), beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Harapiak, cherished mother of Debra Lyttle, Darlene Gunther (David Tait) and David Harapiak (Joanne). Loving Grandma of Liam. Dear sister of Raymond Wansel (Dorothy) and Gloria (John Stepien). Sister-in-law of Terry Borozny, Kay Harman and Mary Harapiak. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Specially remembered by her friends Aty and Jack Anker, Sylvia and Keith Morris and Bev Koboyashi. Predeceased by a sister Florence and three brothers Steve, Joe and Edward. Effie was known for her beautiful smile, her compassion for animals and romantic sensibility when it came to interior design and fashion. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday, February 25, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated.
