Obituary of Toshio Uyede

Uyede, Toshio (Ted) Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2016. In his 101st year, “Ted” Uyede, beloved husband of the late “Mabel” Fumiko (nee Tanouye). Loving father of Ken (Carol) and Ron (Margaret). Loved grandpa of Jonathan (Beth), Justine (Michael), Jordan, Andrew (Katie), Sarah and Cara. Proud great grandpa of Nyah, Harry and Samson. Dear brother of Shoji (Fumiko). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Lois, by his sister Hatsue and his two brothers Mamoru (Lou) and Yoshio (George). Ted was a life member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 7pm to 9pm and Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 1pm until time of service in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2pm. Memorial donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
