Obituary of Lloyd Sanford

On January 10, 2022, Herald Lloyd Sanford gave up his hard fought battle and reunited with his deeply missed wife of almost 70 years Mary, recently departed daughter Yvonne and many loved ones whom he lost along his journey. Lloyd was a proud Maritimer. He loved storytelling, music, a good laugh, horseshoes, bowling, his friends, the Silver Foxes and all those he considered family. Lloyd will remain in the hearts of his children Ken (Neil), Audie, Wayne, Gail, Theresa (Donny), April and Yvonne's spouse Rick. He was a cherished Granddad to Tammy (Dave), Phil (Shawna) Dan (Michelle), Tammie, Ricky (deceased), Jenn, A.J., Kyle, Bryce, Lilly, Joe, Jen, Ashley (Will) and Josh. A truly great, Great-granddad to many children and considered a Granddad to many more. Lloyd will be missed by his relatives down East and out West. He touched many lives and will never be forgotten. Sincere thanks to the nursing staff on 2 west at Shaver hospital. Visitation will be at Patrick J. Dartes Funeral Chapel 39 Court St. St Catharines on Sunday Jan. 16th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday Jan 17th at 1:00 p.m. with a private service to follow. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens RR 20 Fonthill. Please be advised family only endorses donations made to The Canadian Cancer Society. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those who wish to attend are encouraged to advise the family. Face coverings and social distancing policy's must be followed.
