Obituary of Margarete Wehr

Wehr, Margarete Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Hospice Niagara on Sunday, February 5, 2017. In her 86th year, Margarete Wehr (nee Bruns), beloved wife of the late Ralf Arthur Wehr, loving mother of Dietmar (late Deborah), and Patricia Wehr. Loving Oma of Corey and Zachary (Minuet). Dear sister of Liesel (Gerd). Predeceased by a brother Hans Minni. Our mother wanted to say she and our father came to Canada with only the clothes on their back, but the country was so good to them they were able to retire early and travel the continent by boat and motorhome, meeting people and making friends along the way. She felt very blessed to have gotten the university education she always dreamed of. She loved her friends and oh yes… she would love flowers. Our family wants to express our gratitude to Mom’s doctors, nurses and the staff at Hospice Niagara. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 3:30pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11am.
