Obituary of Eric Drakeford

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our father, grandfather and husband Eric Michael Drakeford. He was a great man with deep faith, and a true desire to serve his loving Saviour, Jesus Christ. He unfailingly preached and lived the gospel, but equally was unfailing in his love for his wife Margaret, with whom he shared a happily married life for 56 years. Her love and care for him, especially in the last was unflinching in devotion. He was a dear father to his 7 children and their spouses as well as a wonderfully ridiculous grandfather to his 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. We will miss his genuine love, care and concern. Everyone will miss his delightfully ‘punny’ sense of humour, his twinkle and his innocent mischief. With us all around him we were awed to witness his peaceful crossing the threshold to New Life. A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Community Church, 241 St. David’s Rd. W., Thorold, on Thursday, March 9th at 11 am. Come and greet the family at 10 am, and join us for lunch following the celebration.
