Obituary of Mary-Jane Miller

Dr. Mary Jane Miller, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Miller (nee Harding) and her beloved husband, Dr. Jack Miller. Sister-in-law of Bob Kenigsberg and the late Helene Kenigsberg, loving aunt of Alan, Daniel and Michael Kenigsberg and great-aunt to Ace, Ivy, Hunter, Skylar and Julius. Devoted godmother to Kristina and Matt Davison. Mary Jane earned a BA and MA from the University of Toronto where she first began her teaching career. She received her PHD from Birmingham in the UK. Mary Jane spent 36 years as Professor of Dramatic Arts at Brock University where she inspired her students and shared her love and appreciation of theater and television. Cremation has taken place and family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 11am-12pm at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St, St. Catharines, with a memorial service to follow in the chapel. Mary Jane touched the lives of many through her friendship, mentorship and generosity, giving freely of her time and knowledge, and sharing her love of learning. Memorial donations to either the Stephen Lewis Foundation or the Brock University Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.
