Passed away peacefully at Niagara Health – St. Catharines Site in her 86 th year on July 15, 2022. Violet is

survived by her daughter Karen, son Marino (Robyn), grandchildren Daniel and Michael, sisters in Italy

and Slovenia; Nerina, Bruna and Renata. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews in Europe.

Violet is predeceased by her parents along with her sisters Anna, Maria, Palmira and her brother Rafael.

Violet worked for the Lincoln County Separate School Board primarily at St. Nicholas School in St.

Catharines where she built many long-term friendships. Violet spent her retirement years taking various

trips back to visit family and friends in Italy and Slovenia as well as sharing her home here in Canada

with them. She was a strong-willed person and a shrewd planner. Always planning for what may come. A

private family service and interment have taken place as per her wishes.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Niagara Gardens who not only cared for her but

also became her friends. The family would also like to thank the nursing staff, doctors, and the palliative

nurse practitioners at Niagara Health who took exceptional care of Violet during her final days despite

the current conditions of our healthcare system. Thank you for being there for us and most of all, for our

mother.
