Obituary of Robert Edward Duemo

Duemo, “Ted” Robert Edward (WW II Navy Veteran) Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. In his 95th year, “Ted” Robert Edward Duemo, beloved husband of the late Yvonne Duemo (nee Dumont). Loving father of Bob Duemo (Sue), Carolyn (Lou Vendittelli), Edward Duemo (Debbie) and Jim Duemo. Loved Grandpa of nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mona Schultz. Brother-in-law of Mary Lou (late Allan). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Allan two sisters Ina and Doris. Ted was a decorated war veteran passing away on the 73rd anniversary of D - Day. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.. Vigil Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines (905-934-9703) on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fonthill. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
