Obituary of Richard Harvey Label

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Label on December 2nd, 2022 beloved husband of Janet, father and father-in-law of Sharlene and Brett Krakower, Melanie and Les Waltman, cherished grandfather to Jack, Ben, Jayden and Liam. Son of the late Lily and Jack Label, brother and brother-in-law to Rosalee Tuchow and the late Leonard Tuchow, Stan and Gail Label and the late Sharon Schachter. A former teacher at Chomedey High School, Richard was dedicated to his students. He believed in education and learning. After retiring, and moving to Welland, he involved himself in many different ways to keep occupied - computers, electronics, mentoring, and building. His passion was tennis both playing and watching videos online. His family was his pride. Richard will be dearly missed by family, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and all those who knew him. A graveside service will take place on Monday December 5th, 2022 at 11am at 812 Lyons Creek Road in Welland, Ontario. Lite refreshments will be served after the service. Shiva will be held in Toronto as follows: 1-3 PM - Tuesday - Friday, and Sunday 6-8 PM (online minyan at 5pm) Monday - Thursday, and Sunday
