It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our sweet baby girl, Aaliyah Anne-Rosa Espinal-Hines (DOB 2/2/09). Aaliyah passed peacefully in her home into the ethers in the early hours of New Year’s Eve where she was surely greeted with open arms and loving embraces from the gods and goddesses abound.

Aaliyah is survived by her loving mother, Latifah Hines, her father, Mauricio Espinal, and her siblings, Kyren, Maricela, Romeo, and Gabriella, her grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Aaliyah was a sweet and gentle soul with nothing but pure love to give. Her smile was infectious and she could bring anyone to pure joy with her laughter alone.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Aaliyah’s service will be held on Thursday, January 5 from 11am - 1pm at Patrick Darte Funeral Chapel in St. Catharines followed by a reception.

Donations are welcome. The family asks that you please bring with you an offering or send up gift to include with Aaliyah on her journey home. We see you sweet girl, we love you, we honour you. You are now free to run, sing, dance and play.
