Obituary of George Edward McGean

McGEAN, George Edward - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 21, 2023 at the age of 71. Devoted husband and best friend of 44 years to Shelley. Loving father of Marie, Peter (Carrie), George Jr, Sarah, Corie, Charles(Tara), Joni, Timissa(Jude), MaryRose, James (Cathlene), and Henry (Skye). He was a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather who just welcomed his 27th grandchild on the 19th of this month. Dear brother of John, Joe, Doug, Tom, Dolores, and Theresa. He is predeceased by his sisters Theresa and Margaret, his brother Russell, as well as his first wife and friend Marilyn. George will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and family of friends both here in Niagara as well as in Bobcaygeon, especially Bob and Brian. Special thanks to the staff at the Walker Family Cancer Clinic,Home Health Care and Rexall on Queenston Street. Donations in lieu of flower can be made to Walker Clinic,Diabetes Assocation or Community Care. Friends are invited to join the family at the Patrick J Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street (Downtown), visiting Tuesday January 24th from 2pm until 4pm with cremation to follow.
