After many battles throughout life with his health, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the age of 72. Loving husband of Lynda for 48 wonderful years and proud father of Brian (Jessica), Eliza (Jeremy), Marissa (Christofer), and Lauren. Michael’s days were made brighter by his beloved grandchildren Michael and Alessia. Survived by his siblings Joanne (Ted), Dino (Jasper), and brother-in-law Vince. Fondly remembered by his niece Sandra and nephews Marc (Toni) and Justin, along with his great nieces and nephews Vincent, Alexa (Egor), Anthony, and Emilie. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Joseph as well as his dear sister Linda. He will be fondly missed by a large extended family and many friends.

Michael was a retiree from General Motors. His love of cars and motorcycles extended to his side business ‘Auto Artists’ where he completed body work and custom paint jobs for many in Niagara. Days with his family were spent camping, singing and playing music, watching hockey games, working in the garage, attending classic car shows, drag racing in Cayuga, and cruising in either the convertible or on his motorcycle. We know he will always be poppin’ wheelies, layin’ rubber, and putting the pedal to the metal.

Family will receive friends at Garden City Funerals (formerly Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel) 39 Court St, on Thursday October 12, 2023, from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday October 13, 2023, at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Hotel Dieu Shaver would be appreciated.
