Dad was kinda quiet, but he would blurt out the funniest things, at just the right time, that would make everyone laugh. Not laugh at him, but with him. Such a heart of gold he had, filled with nothing but happiness, joy, and love for the simple things in life. The stories will be missed; Dad was a great storyteller, especially of his days gone by with his adventures as a young man.
Have you had anyone very close to you in your life that you have never had at least a heated discussion with, let alone and argument with? I did, but he is now gone to a better place.
I hope there's a Mandarin with a huge ice cream bar up there in heaven for you, dad. Enjoy it.
We both love you, dad.
We'll see you, but hopefully not too soon.
