PLUHAR, Andrew “Andy” –

Passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday November 12th, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Agnes for 64 loving years. Predeceased by his son Stephen (2023). Andrew had a tough childhood, orphaned at age 6, raised on a farm. Later, earned a degree in Civil Engineering in Hungary, retired at 82 having earned a Gold Award for 50yrs service. He will be dearly missed by his many friends, extended family members, and his adopted grandkids Christopher and Elizabeth Majtenyi. Andrew was a good husband and a kind-hearted, generous man. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at Garden City Funerals and Cremations (Formerly Patrick J Darte Funeral Chapel), 39 Court Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday November 20th from 12-1PM with a Funeral Service in Celebration of his Life at 1PM in the chapel. Rite of committal will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
