Obituary of Merle Cosby

Cosby, Merle (Bob) Peacefully passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in St. Catharines on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Jenny Cosby. Loving father of Barbara-Anne Poulos and Kelly (Timothy Flake). Loved Grandpa of Lori-Anne, Leslie, Tyler and Karli. Remembered by his longtime friend and sister-in-law Helen Siuciak. Also remembered by his family, nieces and nephews. Merle worked for a mining prospecting company early in his career. Merle was employed as a stationary engineer at the Hotel Dieu Hospital retiring after twenty-seven years. After retirement, he kept up his interest in mining prospecting. Merle enjoyed feeding his birds. He spent many happy times at the family cottage. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 9am to 11am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer “Lung” Society would be appreciated by the family.
