Barbas, “Jaokim” Mike Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, January 4, 2016. In his 78th year, (Jaokim) Mike Barbas, beloved husband of Beryle Barbas (nee Graham). Loving father of Paul (Dawn), George (Marion), Cathy Lynn, Mike Jr. (Alison) and Steven (Sarah ). Loved Pappa of Michael, Joey (Brittany),Joshua (Tiffany), Tyler (Caitlyn), Kyle, Brandon (Clara),Christopher (Kaila), Jesse, Alyssa and Robert. Fondly remembered by his in laws, nieces and nephews both in Canada and Greece. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara Street, St. Catharines (905-685-3028) on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 12noon. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Brain Injury Association of Niagara (905-984-5058)would be appreciated by the family.
