Obituary of Alexander Zinow

Zinow, Alexander Sergei Alex passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on Wednesday January 13, 2016 age 69. Alex was born in Ottawa, but spent most of his adult years in St Catharines. He preferred the "small town" life. He was well liked and well known in his community. Alex loved the country, animals, cars and books as well as volunteering helping others. He was a quiet and private person but he easily made friends wherever he went. He was a kind, gentle and very generous man. He had little but he gave so much. In the end he gave the ultimate gift by being an organ donor. Lovingly remembered by his sister Tania Dorley ( Tim), nephews and niece, Graham and Brian Pavey; Nicholas, Kyle, and Shana Mary Dorley. He is predeceased by his parents Mary and Sergei Zinow and his sister Nina Pavey. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J Darte Funeral Chapel,39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local soup kitchen meal program.
