Obituary of Clara Rubin

Rubin, Clara Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, December 22, 2014. In her 97th year, Clara Rubin (nee Engel),beloved wife of the late Phillip Rubin of sixty-nine years. Loved mother of Howard, Ronald and Allan and his wife Heather. Cherished grandmother of Daniel (Ronit), Harris (Leah), Jessica, Lauren and Ryan. Great grandmother of Leia and Rachel. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Brett, a daughter-in-law Jacqueline, by three brothers Ab, Jack and Bill, and by four sisters, Hannah, Pauline, Rose and Sima. Clara was a member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, belonging to the Civitan service club as a “Civitanette”, she enjoyed singing with the B’nai Israel fun entertainment evenings, she was a member of Hadassah. Clara’s family wish to express their thanks to the hospital staff for their care and support.A funeral service will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1pm.Interment in B’nai Israel Cemetery.
