Obituary of Jean McDonald

McDonald, Jean Audrey Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2014. In her 90th year, Jean Audrey McDonald (nee Dagg), beloved wife of the late Harvey McDonald. Loving mother of Catherine (Walter) Kretschmar, the late Darcy Black and the late Heather (Angus Hutchison) Kerr. Jean will be remembered fondly by her grandchildren Susan Kretschmar, Kurt Kretschmar, Amanda (Brad) Penwell, Colin Hutchison and Christopher Kerr. Jean was the caring great grandmother to Ashely, Daniel, Benjamin, Erica, Emma and Olivia. Jean is survived by her sister Grace Pidgeon and predeceased by her two sisters Irene Moulton and Bev Morin. Visitation will be at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Saturday January 3, 2014 at 10:00 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. The family wishes to sincerely thank the emergency department and ICU staff at the St. Catharines General, PSW’s Jane and Christine CCAC and nurses from St. Elizabeth for their excellent care.
