Obituary of Paraska Butryn

Butryn, Paraska (Pearl) Passed away peacefully at her home in St. Catharines on Saturday, January 3, 2015. In her 88th year, Paraska Butryn, beloved wife of the late Joseph Butryn. Loving mother of Marie Bristol McAuley (Late Dr. Wayne McAuley), Peter Butryn(Helene) and Yvonne (Dave Morley). Loved Babcha of Sarah (Sean), Kelly (Frank), Julie and James. Loving Prababcha of Emily, Teresa, Elle, Atley, Lucy and Jacob. Fondly remembered by her family in the Ukraine, Belgium and the United States. Paraska was a long standing member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church and the UCWLC, the Legion of Mary and Senior’s Club “Myrhorod”. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel,39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584)on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Vigil (Panachyda) prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 14 Rolls Ave., St. Catharines (905-646-1275) on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10am. Rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
