Obituary of Darlene Langelaan
Langelaan, Darlene (nee Maxwell) born August 21, 1951
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene on February 15 in her 64th year with her loving husband Harry by her side at St Josephs Hospital Hamilton after a long battle with lung disease. Her family was the most important part of her life. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Lori McPherson and Kerri Martin her step daughter Barbi (Larry) Sawatsky, and her grand children that were the love of her life Justin, Braedon, Carter, Jordan, Victoria, Tiffany and Destiny.
She will be missed by her mother Isabella Downer, her siblings Roy (Natalie) Maxwell, Joyce Rudd, Ian Maxwell, Tracey (Bob) Beachin, Kim (Ed) Giesbrecht, Bob (Jane) Downer, her cousin Bryan (Kim) Holtby and her brothers and sisters inlaw Al (Heather) Langelaan, Neil (Amy) Langelaan, Nick Langelaan, Ed (Maureen) Langelaan, Maggie (Art) Graham, and her many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her bestfriend of 44 years Sandy Strobridge, "the circle" neighbours and all of her friends.
Predeseased by father Stu Maxwell, step father Bob Downer, sister Marilyn, stepson Chris Langelaan, sisters-in-law Willy Heus and Cathy Holdip, brother-in-law John Langelaan, and aunt Jesse and uncle Bill Holtby.
A special thanks to Dr Whitehead, Dr Boyle and the staff of the CTU 4th floor and complex care 6 th floor, they made Darlene's stay so wonderful with their love and care.
Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines
(905-685-6584) on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will
be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February21, 2015 at 11am.
Donations to the St Joseph's Health Care Foundation - clinical teaching unit (1-866-478-5031) would be appreciated by the family.
