Obituary of John Peter Dobson

John Dobson 1929 to 2020 Peacefully at St. Catharines General Hospital in St. Catharines, Ontario on Friday, October 9th, 2020. John was predeceased by his cherished wife Evelyn (nee Devine). He was a loving father to Deborah, Mary (predeceased), William (Lynn), Patrick (Celia) and Theresa (Paul) Harding. Proud grandfather to Marie (Travis), Michelle (Brad), Chelsea (Christopher), Melinda (Ben), Emily (John), Elyssa (Darren), Madison, Ryan, Thomas and Christopher and great-grandfather to Noah, Jamison, Eve, Maya, Pascal and Claire. Predeceased by his parents George and Eva (nee Cloke) of Saskatchewan. Caring eldest brother to Evelyn (predeceased), Mary (predeceased), Violet (predeceased), Frank (Mina), Doreen, Ruth(predeceased), Don (Donna), Marty, Marge, Dave (Geraldine) and Norman. John held family most important. He loved his orchard but never forgot his roots in the prairies. He loved planning new experiences, recounting memories, family history, traveling especially in Canada and taking part in activities and card games with friends and neighbours. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. With sheer determination John accomplished all the goals he set for himself in his 91-1/2 years of life. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a private ceremony was held. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
