Obituary of Delima Hall
HALL, Délima (née Noel) –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Délima on Monday, December 28, 2020 with family by her side at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Dan (2004). Loving Mom to Marie (Joe) Vander Waal and Diane Hall of St. Catharines, and Carmelle (Sean) Coyle of Mississauga. Cherished Mémère to Alan (April) VanderWaal, Tanya Vander Waal (Jean Louis), and Grand Mémère to Walker and Lincoln. She also leaves her siblings Mathurin (Betty), Emilior (Alexina 2017), Lucienne (Walt), Doria (Agnez), Célestine (Ovide), Georgette (Léo) and many nieces and nephews. Délima is predeceased by her grandson Danny (2011), siblings Cécile, Clara, Oniel, Gabriel and her parents Lucien and Clémentine.
Délima and Dan were very involved in the French community of St. Catharines. They were founding members of the Club Lasalle, devoted parishioners of L’Église Immaculée Conception, supporters of the French school system as well as many other French organizations. Mom volunteered much of her time supporting French causes, was passionate about young children, baking, sewing, wearing hats, her garden, taking walks, spending time outdoors, singing (and maybe making up the words), anything pink and spending time with family. Mom and Dad recharged their batteries at their home in New Brunswick in retirement which created many cherished family memories. She will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank her special caregivers and all staff at Garden City Manor for their care and kindness as well as the staff at the St. Catharines Hospital Unit 5A for their care and attention. A live stream of her funeral service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 11:00 at https://www.facebook.com/patrickdartefh/. At a later date, extended family and friends will be invited to attend a high mass and a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, a donation to L’Église Immaculée Conception or Garden City Manor would be welcome.
