Obituary of Louis Velicevic

VELICEVIC, ALOJZ "Louie" - Passed away of Covid-19 on Sunday, January 24th 2021 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. In his 82nd year. Alojz Velicevic, beloved husband of the late Mary Velicevic; loving father of Rosalie (Roger Bilodeau); and cherished Stara Ate of Gabbie and André. Fondly remembered by his brother, Ivan (Dragica); sister, Marija Galic; his nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Slovenia. Predeceased by his brother, Martin. Alojz was employed at CN Rail for many years. He loved to work on the land, play his accordion and make vino. Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel , 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) has been entrusted with arrangements. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption. Livestream of the Mass will be shown at www.facebook.com/st.marys1867. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to St. Mary of the Assumption Parish or Pathstone Mental Health, St. Catharines would be appreciated.
