Obituary of Winifred Simpson

Simpson, Winifred Winifred Simpson (nee Gordon) passed away peacefully on Sunday January 4, 2009 at Hospice Niagara after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her loving husband Peter in 1998. Lovingly remembered by her children Janet and her husband Larry Lane, of Calgary, Ruth and her husband Bob Puhach, of St. Catharines and Peter Simpson and his wife Suzanne Tobin, of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Michael, Maggie, Ian, and Andrew Lane, Alex and Stephen Puhach, William, Cameron and Gemma Simpson and great grandchild Nell Stout. Thanks for the love and support of Win’s friends, especially those at Martindale Place and her previous co-workers. Special thanks to the nurses and PSWs of CCAC and the wonderful staff and volunteers of Hospice Niagara. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (906-685-5684) on Wednesday January 7 , 2009 from 10 to 11am. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
