Obituary of Gordon Pomerantz

Pomerantz, Gordon Peacefully at the St. Catharines General on Wednesday January 7, 2009 in his 86th year. Gordon Pomerantz, beloved husband of Freda Pomerantz (nee Litvack). Loving father of Dale (and Mark Mayerson), Jill Pomerantz and Miriam (and Jeff Sharpe). Adored grandfather of Katie, Keith, Shauna, Justin, Tyler and Ryan. Dear brother of Sylvia (and the late Arnold Keshen) and Aaron Pomerantz (and Joan). Dear brother-in-law of Sarah Pomerantz, Marvin (and Shirley) Litvack and Fanny Brass. Gordon will be remembered for his generosity, for his sense of humour and for his devotion to family, cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by two brothers Morris and Joe. Gordon owned and ran Pomerantz Clothing and Footwear in Thorold for many years and then opened Uniform Sportswear tailor shop in St. Catharines. Funeral service to take place on Friday January 9, 2009 at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at B’nai Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Congregation B’nai Israel (905-685-6767) or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
