Obituary of Justine Zorz

ZORZ, Justine (Hochevar) - Peacefully with her family by her side at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday evening April 2, 2009. In her 84th year, Justine (nee Hochevar) Zorz, beloved wife of the late Louis Zorz and the late Frank Pogorelec. Loving mother of Marilyn Isaak (Harold) and Charlotte Romak (Daryl). Loved Nana of Tricia , Rachel (Bob) and Great Nana of Mackenzie,Spencer, Dakota, Halie, Zachary and Alexander. Dear sister of John Hochevar. Dear sister-in-law of Olive Hochevar, Mary Hochevar, Mike and Antonia Zorz. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters Mimi and Olga and by three brothers Walter, Ludvik and Merko. Justine was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church. She was an avid gardener who had a love for nature, birds, flowers and enjoyed her hobby farm. Spring time was her favourite time of year as she would watch nature come to life outside her home, and start planning her flower beds. Her family was very important and her desire to stay in the comforts of her own home until the very end was very important to our mom and nana. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel , 39 Court Street, St. Catharines on Sunday April 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent, St. Catharines on Monday April 6, 2009 at 10:30am. The Rite of Committal will take place in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will he held in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:30pm. The family wish to express their appreciation to the Trauma and ICU Unit nurses and staff, Dr. H. Kim, Dr. S. Kim for their wonderful care of our mother and their consideration and compassion for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the wish list of the Cardiac Unit of the St. Catharines General would be appreciated by the family. Mom, Nana you will be greatly missed. You are finally pain free at peace and you are with Jesus.
