Phelan, Ruth Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday June 5, 2009. In her 91st year, Ruth Phelan (nee Hand), beloved wife of the late Jack Phelan. Loving mother of Larry (Bernice) and Kevin (Sandra). Loved grandmother of Kim, Penny, Jason, John, Graham, Robyn and Deanna. Loving great grandmother of Rhys, Logan and Baylee. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Robert, a sister Dorothy and a brother Roy. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Monday, June 8 from 7 to 9pm. Funeral prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 2:30pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
