York, Lawrence Peacefully at Extendicare Health Services in St. Catharines on Tuesday June 23, 2009. In his 80th year, Lawrence York, loving father of Larry (Myra), Linda (Dennis Sacco),Leona Smith (Mike). Loved grandpa of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Dear brother of Clarence and Arthur (Eileen). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five sisters Margaret, Doris, Vera, Laura and Myrtle by six brothers John, Russell, Gordon, Archie, Lloyd and Floyd. Lawrence was a retired employee of General Motors. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday June 25, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday June 26, 2009 morning at 11am. Interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
