Obituary of Edward Corbett

Corbett, Edward 1919-2010 It is with much sadness we announce the passing of John Edward Corbett at the St. Catharines General Hospital on October 27, 2010. Mr. Corbett was a decorated and very proud WWII veteran receiving the Military Medal and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Isabel Corbett. Mr. Corbett was a much loved and respected uncle of Alison & Kevin, Allan & Erlene, JoAnn & John, Bryan, Barbara, Richard & Janet, Robert & Elisabeth, Lynn & Ian, Patricia & Rich, Dennis & Kathy, and Frank & Karen. Great uncle of twenty-five nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews. Special friend of Ann Stafford for twenty-five years. Predeceased by a sister Annabel (Belle) McInnis and a brother Elmer Corbett. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Friday October 29, 2010 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Prayers will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday October 30, 2010 at 10am. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 are requested to attend a memorial service at the funeral home Friday October 29, 2010 at 7pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wellspring Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
