Obituary of Gladys Wade

Wade, Gladys ~ Peacefully at Linhaven Home for the Aged in St. Catharines on Sunday, November 21, 2010. In her 96th year, Gladys Aileen Wade (nee McDonagh), beloved wife of seventy years of the late Richard (Dick) Caseborne Wade. Grandmother of Nadine Conger and her husband Craig, of Brentwood, TN and John David Wade Staples, of Brentwood, TN. Great grandmother of Allison, Evan and Madeline. Dear sister-in-law of Betty McDonagh. Much loved by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by beloved daughter Aileen Staples, by two sisters Betty Yeo and Winnifred Stutsman, by one brother Harold McDonagh, by two brothers-in-law Ross Yeo and Lloyd Stutsman and her parents Francis and William McDonagh. Gladys was a long time member of the Fort Erie Kinette Club, and the Douglas Memorial Auxiliary, life member of the Dalhousie Yacht Club and co-owner of Wade Shoe Store in Grantham Plaza. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St. St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
