Obituary of Eileen Saunders

Saunders, Eileen Peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter by her side at West Park Health Centre in St. Catharines on Saturday, June 11, 2016. In her 96th year, Eileen Joan Saunders (nee Gurney), beloved wife of the late Fred. Loving mother of Pam Poulin (late Ray),Wayne Saunders and Wendy (Ed Sokolowski). Loved Nan and Great Nan of ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean Swibb. Fondly remembered by her niece and nephews. Predeceased her daughter Babs Youmans (2003) and a sister Audrey Jones. Eileen’s family wish to thank all the staff of West Park Health Care Centre for their attention and care. A private family service has been held. Interment was in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated by the family.
