Obituary of Jennie Majka

Majka, Jennie ~ With a heavy heart my precious Mom has passed peacefully at home in my arms at the age of 97 to be with the Lord. Loving mother of Julia. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Pamela. Beloved wife of the late John (1962) and her two sons Joseph (1975) and Julien (1999), by her parents Mary and Michael Kokoski, by three sisters Valerie (John), Sophie (Walter) and Annie (Walter) by four brothers James (Violet), Stephen (Mary), Theodore (Joyce) and Leo (Cecelia) and a brother-in-law Roman (Annie). Jennie’s passions were reading, music, walking, cooking for relatives and a loyal life long fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs. She was a born caregiver with a kind heart and with a beautiful soul which served her well for thirty-three years working at the St. Catharines General Hospital helping people. She cared for her siblings growing up, took care of family members and all their health issues. She will not be forgotten by all who crossed her path in her life, for her kindness and gentle manners. Jennie’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Gruber, Dr. Rhemtulla, Dr.Balgasem plus all the P.W.and nurses who took excellent care of Jennie during her final days. Visitation will be held at St. Denis Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street, St. Catharines on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 10am until time of service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street, St. Catharines (905- 685-5911) on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11am. Rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Ozanam Centre, St. Catharines, St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Denis Catholic Church would be appreciated.
