William Wood German--January 1st, 1985- May 22nd, 2011 With broken hearts, we must announce the death of our Will. Cherished son of William and Tracy and beloved brother of Hilary. Survived by his Grandfather William Featherstone (Yukiko), Grandmother Maryann German, Uncles David and Robert (Lynette) Featherstone, and Terry (Lynn) and Robert (Carol) German., and loving family and friends. Predeceased by Grandparents Muriel Featherstone (1997) and William Harold German (2010). Willy, “Iron Will”, enjoyed many pursuits. He played competitive hockey and box and field lacrosse. He ran with effortless abandonment and his beautiful, graceful running stride will be forever in our memory. Will was a true outdoorsman. Whether it was hiking with Grandma and Grandpa Featherstone, fishing, or playing outside, he truly treasured every season. Will embraced winter as evidenced by his countless hours snowboarding and building forts. Will loved music and enjoyed singing in a band, playing guitar and composing original songs. His bright mind, skilled hands, and creativity led him to the Design program at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Will died in his sleep following an intense 7 year struggle with brain disease. Special thanks to caseworker, Dan Murdoch, for his compassionate care.
