Obituary of Kurt Chemnitz

Chemnitz, Kurt ~ Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord at his home in St. Catharines on Sunday, June 12, 2011. In his 85th year, Kurt Chemnitz, beloved husband of Madeleine for over fifty-five years. Dear father of Brian (Shelley) Chemnitz and loving Opa of Joshua and Emily. Dear brother of Ruth, of Germany. Remembered by his niece and nephew. Predeceased by brothers Rolf and Helmut. Kurt retired from General Motors and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Kurt and Madeleine enjoyed over twenty years of retirement at their cottage on Ahmic Lake in Magnetawan. Kurt will always be remembered for his positive outlook, his laughter and his story telling. Friends will be received at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Wednesday June 15, 2011 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 213 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines on Thursday June 16, 2011 at 11am. (Friends will be received an hour prior to service). As an expression of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Grace Lutheran Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
