Birt, Daniel World War II Veteran At the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday June 28, 2011. In his 88th year, Daniel Birt, beloved husband of the late Margaret Birt (nee Keegan). Loving father of Margaret Duncan (late George), Jada Birt (John Charron), Liam Birt (Lashawn) and Daniel Birt (Kim Flowers). Loving grandfather of Carol, John, Susan (Dave Sgro), Joshua and Alaistair. Great grandfather of Andrew, Connor, Liam, Sophia and Avery. Dear brother of John, Matt, Moira and Seamus. Specially remembered by Cathy Keegan. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Mr. Birt served during World War II with the Royal Air Force. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Friday July 1, 2011 from 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Julia Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines on Saturday July 2, 2011 at 9:30am. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation and St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family.
