Obituary of Dora Vicere

VICERE, DORA (nee Bernabucci) Born in Sarnano, Macerata, Italy on March 28, 1925. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 10, 2011 at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health & Rehabilitation Centre at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Giocondo (1994). Loving and devoted mother of Silvana and her husband René Zamai , Angelo Vicere and his wife Justine Dandie. Cherished Nonna of Alessandro, Claudio, Adriano Zamai, Christian and Sebastian Vicere. Dearest sister of Felice Bernabucci, his wife Maria, and sister-in-law of Norina Vicere of Italy . She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by her brother Ivo Bernabucci and his wife Fiorinda, of Italy by her sister Maddalena and her late husband Francesco Zega, sister-in-law Maria and Sante Caldarelli of Italy and brother-in-law Frederico Vicere of Italy . Loving daughter of the late Angelo and Elisa Bernabucci. Dora retired from the housekeeping department at Ridley College after many years of service. She was a member of St Alfred’s Church and Club Roma. Friends may call at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday, August 14th between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St Alfred Catholic Church, 272 Vine St. , St. Catharines on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11am . The Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, 2250 Hwy #20 East, Fonthill, Ontario where she will join her dear husband. Vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday August 14, 2011 at 3pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Kanungo and the compassionate nurses and staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Health & Rehabilitation Centre for their wonderful care.
