Labonté John – At the Hamilton General Hospital with family by his side on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Mary Labonté (nee Egan) for 59 years. Cherished father of Alice (Mike Wood), Karen (Bo Enss), Michele Robertson, John Jr., Tim (Lynn), Joe, Marylou (Michael Frendo) and Patrick. Loving grandfather of twenty-two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dear brother of Sylvia Labonté, Lucille Barrette, Paul, Joseph (Marilyn) and Leon (Shirley). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a granddaughter Tegan, by a sister Yvonne, a brother Gedeon, by brothers-in-law Jean-Paul Barrette and Clinton Keller, his sisters-in-law Mary Labonté and Helen Labonté and his daughter-in-law Dora. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 34 Elgin Street, St. Catharines on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 12 p.m.. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
